Backup and recovery

Backups that actually bring you back

We protect your Microsoft 365 data, files and servers, and test restores so you know recovery works before you need it.

What it is

Backup and disaster recovery explained

Backup is a safe copy of your data. Disaster recovery is the plan for getting your business working again after something goes wrong, whether that is a deleted folder, a failed laptop, a ransomware attack or an office you cannot enter. You need both, and the plan has to be tested.

Back up what matters

Microsoft 365, files, servers and laptops are covered, not just the obvious folders.

Kept safely

Copies are stored separately from your main systems and encrypted.

Checked every day

Backup jobs are monitored and failures are fixed, not ignored.

Restore-tested

We test restores so recovery is proven, not assumed.

What is included

Twelve ways we protect your data

01

Microsoft 365 backup

Email, calendars, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data backed up, because Microsoft 365 alone is not a backup.

02

Server and file backup

On-premises and cloud servers and file shares copied on a regular schedule.

03

Laptop and desktop backup

Staff devices protected so a lost or broken laptop does not mean lost work.

04

Offsite and separate storage

Copies kept away from your main systems, so one incident cannot take out both.

05

Encryption

Backup data encrypted in storage and in transit.

06

Daily monitoring

Backup jobs checked every day, with failures investigated and fixed.

Not all backups are equal

Switched on is not the same as recoverable

What separates a backup you hope works from one you know works.

Questions

Common questions

01

What is the difference between backup and disaster recovery?

Backup is the copy of your data. Disaster recovery is the plan and process for getting systems and people working again.

02

Does Microsoft 365 back up our data?

Microsoft keeps the service running, but you are responsible for your data. A separate backup protects against deletion, mistakes and attacks.

03

How do we know backups work?

We monitor jobs daily and test restores regularly, so we know recovery works.

04

What happens if we get hit by ransomware?

We restore from clean, separate copies and follow a recovery plan, with you kept in the loop.

05

Can you back up our laptops?

Yes. Staff laptops and desktops can be included, so a lost or broken device does not mean lost work.

06

How long does recovery take?

It depends on what has failed and what we agree beforehand. We set recovery targets with you and plan around them.
